Matchmaking 101: How to Spend Tokens Where They Earn the Most

You already know attack beats defense. The real skill is choosing which fights to take at all. This article is about matchmaking — reading the Arena like a market and spending your tokens where they earn the most.

Your Token Budget Is a Portfolio

Every token is capital. Spend five tokens on five high-probability fights and most of them convert into Satoshi. Spend them on long-shot fights and you hand them to other players. Before each session, set a win-rate threshold — say 60% — and only queue fights above it.

Read the Class, Not Just the Percentage

Two opponents can show the same win percentage and be completely different fights. A high-win-chance Berserker is about to take a big slice of your wallet; a low-win-chance Guardian might be a safe, steady farm. Use the percentage as a hint and the class as the story.

Revenge Is an Offer, Not a Demand

The Recent Battles page tempts you to retaliate against anyone who hit you. But revenge is a fight like any other — same token, same risk. Retaliate only when the matchup favors you and the target has a wallet worth taking. Skipping revenge isn't weakness; it's capital management.

Respect the Streak

A losing streak usually means you're attacking above your weight class, not that you're 'unlucky'. When you drop a few in a row, step down a tier, fight weaker opponents, rebuild your bank, and climb back. Momentum protects your bank better than any single stat.

Watch Your Own Door

Matchmaking isn't only about who you attack — it's about who can attack you. If you've won big, expect a target on your back. Bank your winnings before you queue again, and keep your wallet lean enough that a single loss can't erase the day's work.
